Ted Graham to speak

Join us for lunch at 11:30am and to hear Ted Graham, owner of Marion Industrial Center speak.

We meet in Marion Harding High School’s Community Room.

Ted is a graduate of Wichita State University with a B.S. in Accounting. He continued his graduate studies at Northwestern Business School where he earned an MBA in Finance.

He purchased a part of the current Marion Industrial Depot in 1973, at which time he moved to Ohio to begin the renovation. This was the start of Graham Investments. A few years later, in response to the requests of tenants at the then newly-renovated Marion Industrial Park, he began Marion Industrial Center to address customer handling needs as well as their storage needs.

His next acquisitions were the former Marion Power Shovel Plants 2 and 3 from Dresser Industries in April 1987.These properties are leased to heavy manufacturing and warehousing tenants.Heavy cranes and the rail service are important amenities of these properties.

In March 1990 he was able to complete the purchase of the 142 acre Engineer Depot property which was adjacent to the Marion Industrial Park.As a developer, his dream was to fuse the entire property together into a completely renovated, modern distribution center, and this opportunity was the key to making that happen in a good way.The combined properties became what is now known as Marion Industrial Depot.

Depot Express, their trucking company, was begun to serve cross-docking needs for our tenants.Today, a fleet of tractors and trailers travel the midwest hauling a wide variety of products.

Ted relates “the future of these facilities is exciting and always changing & expanding to fit our tenants’ needs.
