This year’s event is Saturday, February 22, 7am to 2pm at Tri-Rivers Career Center. Adults, 13 and older $6 at the door or $5 if purchased earlier and for youth, 4 to 12 years old, tickets are $4 at the door and $3, if purchased earlier. Along with all the pancakes you can eat, you’ll also enjoy juice, coffee, sausage and more, but most of all you’ll share in a Marion tradition! It is a gathering of friends and family. Plus, there is entertainment from dancers to singers and more! Plus, this year we will feature Marion’s Bicentennial Celebration.
When it comes to serving up a scrumptious breakfast, nothing seems to top our fascination with the pancake. And if you’re familiar with the Marion Noon Kiwanis Annual Pancake Day, chances are you’ve had your share of pancakes—one of our organizations’ key ingredients for a successful fundraiser.
Most importantly, the proceeds from the event benefit children through groups and activities such as: Marion Tall Grass Trail, Marion Palace Theatre, Marion Wings & Wheels, BSA Troop #950, Cub Scout Pack 6950, Explore-It-Torium Children’s Museum, Harding Youth Football, Marion Public Library, Pleasant Local Schools, Marion Goodwill Industries, Salvation Army, Marion County F.O.P. Lodge #24, Jr Service Guild Clearinghouse, Altrusa-RX Marion.

Interesting Pancake Facts From Last Year
• We served over 5,000 pancakes
• 370 pounds of pancake batter was used
• We netted around $8,000…this year we hope to reach $10,000…all proceeds benefit children
• Volunteers include not only Kiwanis members, but community members, students and others. We had around 84 people (signed the sheet) working at the event for around 408 total hours. And then the Friday set-up included 8 people, 3 hours each for total of 24 hours. Thus around 432 hours volunteered. These hours don’t include the meetings/work in preparation for the event.
